Guests looking to book their Kruger Park accommodation at Orpen have the option of either the budget canvas tents or the semi-luxury tents. The tents are spaced quite apart from each other, giving guests extra privacy during their stay. The smaller size of the camp also means that it is never overcrowded.
Of the budget canvas tents, there are 15 tents with 2 beds each and 15 tents with 4 beds. Each tent has its own private veranda, some of which offer riverbed views, a standing fan, and a fridge. Guests staying in these tents will have access to communal ablution facilities as well as a communal kitchen.
The semi-luxury tents have 3 bed units and there are 10 of these available. Each unit has a double bed and a sleeper couch. Those choosing these tents will have their own showers and cooking facilities, as well as a fan and fridge.
As a satellite camp, Orpen has no reception area. Instead, guests will need to book through and check in at Orpen Rest Camp. Those wanting to stay here can look forward to an authentic bushveld experience that will stay with them forever.

There are 18 bungalows in the camp, each capable of sleeping 2people. They are equipped with an en-suitebathroom complete with a shower, air conditioning and a communal braai area. Guests will need to use a communal cooking area andthey will not have access to cutlery, crockery or utensils.
In addition to these bungalows, guests also have the option of staying in one of the 4, 3 bedbungalows. These bungalows also have en-suite bathrooms complete with a shower. The bungalows also have comfortable air conditioning. While guests wanting to braai can use a communal braai area, the bungalows also have a kitchenette with a hotplateand a sink.
With 2 family bungalows with 6 bedunits, family bungalows are perfect for providing plenty of comfortable sleeping space. These bungalows have 2 bedrooms with 2 single beds as well as 1 bedroom with a double bed. The bungalow also has 3 en-suite bathrooms. To make your stay even more comfortable, these bungalows havean open plan design in which you’ll find the kitchen, dining area and bar along with a living room which has limited DSTV.
